Kids Carpentry Supplies Returns and Refund Policy
This policy applies to physical products purchased directly from Kids Carpentry Supplies (www.kidscarpentry.co.nz) and shipped within New Zealand.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may change this policy by uploading a revised policy onto the website. The change will apply from the date that we upload the revised policy.

Faulty or Damaged Goods (CGA)
We take great care to ensure your order arrives in good condition.
If your item arrives damaged or you believe it is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible at sales@kidscarpentry.co.nz with your order number and clear photos.
Our couriers require all damage claims to be lodged within 7 days. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within this timeframe so we can submit the claim on your behalf.
We will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If a product is confirmed to be faulty, we will provide an appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund).
Some products may have natural variations in colour, texture, or finish. These variations are not considered faults under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Please note that damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, or not following recommended use is not considered a fault under the CGA.
General Returns (Change of Mind)
If you wish to return a product for reasons other than a fault or damage, you may request a return within 14 days of receiving your order.
Conditions for Approval:
Returns are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion. If a return is approved, the item must meet all the following conditions:
The item must be unused and in its original, undamaged state.
The item must be in its original product packaging and in a resaleable condition, as determined by Kids Carpentry Supplies.
We cannot accept goods where the original box, label, or packaging has been removed, altered, or damaged.
A valid proof of purchase is required.
Return Shipping Responsibilities:
The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to return the item to us.
We strongly recommend using tracked and insured courier service. We cannot accept responsibility for returned items sent by non-traceable methods and are not held responsible for returned items not received. Without receiving the returned item, we cannot issue a refund or exchange.
Returned items must be packaged securely to prevent damage in transit. We cannot accept items that arrive damaged due to inadequate packaging.
If a returned item does not meet the conditions of this policy, it will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
The customer will be responsible for the cost of having the item returned to them if they wish it sent back.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds:
If a refund for a change-of-mind return is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method less the following non-recoverable costs:
The original shipping cost (including orders that qualified for “free shipping,” where the actual freight cost will be deducted)..
Third-party payment processing fees incurred on the original transaction (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, AfterPay).
These deductions cover the non-refundable costs associated with fulfilling your original order.
Once a refund has been approved, please allow up to 5–10 business days for the refund to be processed and for the funds to appear in your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Exchanges:
Replacement items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and fully inspected in accordance with this policy.
The customer will incur an additional freight charge for the delivery of the replacement item.
Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for:
Clearance or discounted items (unless faulty and therefore covered under the CGA)
Gift cards.
Custom-made or personalised products.
